Miracles Everyday Part 2

Miracles Everyday Part 2 by 'Femi Oguntolu
Yesterday I discussed with you three steps to get and enjoy a miracle from God, I hope you were blessed. Today I will be sharing with you the remaining 4 steps.
4. Leave the "How" to God
When you are expecting a miracle, you dont need to figure how God will do it. That is not your business. Unbelief sets in when you try to figure how. He is God and he exceeds whatever you can think of ( Eph 3:20). An occurrence that you can predict is not a miracle. If it must be a miracle,it must daze you
5. Celebrate the anointing
A lot of  people dont receive miracles because they do not celebrate the anointing of God upon the life of the servants of God he has sent to them. Jesus could not do any significant work in his home town because they failed to celebrate the anointing of God upon him. They looked at him as ordinary. They saw jesus the son of the carpenter and not jesus the anointed. They missed out. An anointing you dont celebrate cannot work for you. It doesnt matter how small (in stature) or how old a man of God set over you is, you must celebrate the anointing to receive a miracle (2 chronicles 20:20). Naaman almost lost his miracle because he despised the man of God (2kings 5:11-14). It is absolute foolishness not to honor and hold in high esteem the servants of God that have been set over you.
6. Live in an atmosphere of worship
The response of God to worship is only second to faith. God seeks worshipers. He dwells in the praise of his people. When men praise God, he responds with miracles (psalm 67:5-7). He loves to be worshipped. He loves to praised sincerely. It is,however, impossible to praise God sincerely without a heart of gratitude. Gratitude is a nature. The size of a gift does not change the response of an ungrateful man. God doesnt like ungrateful men because they cant worship sincerely. They cant give him what he wants. He doesn't stay with such people. Unfortunately for them, miracles only occur in the presence of God. You must develop the attitude of gratitude. When you thank God for what you have, he gives you what you dont have.
7. Abide
A lot of people forget God once they receive a miracle. They fail to return to thank him and further abide in his presence. People have received great miracles that spoilt in their hands because they left his presence. The mana in the ark of covenant did not spoil. It was in the presence of God. Every blessing received from God and used outside of him will spoil. It is his presence that works miracles. It is his presence that preserves them . One out of the healed lepers returned (Luke 17:12-16). Naaman returned(2 kings 5:15). The disciples returned ( luke 10:1-17).It is wisdom to stay in his presence so that your miracle can be sustained.

House of Leaders or Warlords

As I ruminate on the ugly incidences that bewildered Benue House of assembly and the House of Representatives this outgoing week where law makers engaged in a free for all, I nodded my head in utmost dismay of what has become of the people we chose to lead us and make laws for us. This is not the first time we will be seeing something of such but every time it occurs it leaves a negative impression of incompetence, immaturity, clueless and law-less law makers on the heart of Nigerians and people all over the world watching.  I'm not a political analyst neither do I want to become one but i'm an advocate of good 'leaders-in-a-ship' and I believe that what the nation deserves at this time is a way forward from where we are not engaging in blow throwing and cloth tearing. Leadership is not by occupying position, that is, you are not a leader by being in an office or by holding a post. Leadership is all about influence. Its all about the ability to transform a vi...

God's Got You

I was on a trip recently and we drove into a difficult terrain. The driver did well by maneuvering the terrain well and got us safely out of it. However, during this drifting, I doubted his professionalism to get us out safely, in fact I panicked, I gave my opinions and advise based on my experience of driving. Unfortunately, my driver will do the opposite, stating reasons why my counsel will not work and truthfully, his judgement always proves to be right and at the end he drove us safely to our destination. This experience got me to think of how many times we have given God our thoughts and advice on what he should do or should have done. We tell him the direction we feel is right for us to go and at times drag the steering with Him. God is to be trusted. The moment you make him the driver of your life, you can trust him to take you safely to a glorious destination. The terrain may be difficult, He might drive you through surprising and difficult places, just hold on and trust him. H...

Jehovah Huperekperissou

R ecently I was believing God for financial provisions which were very huge. Having understood the fundamentals of faith, I gathered scriptures upon which my faith can stand.  In the process of time, I stumbled upon a particular scripture that seems to be new to me in the scriptures, in fact, I thought my Bible was updated. It is Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him, that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, The fire phrase is " exceeding abundantly " and in the Greek language means Huperekperissou .  Huperekperissou is a combination of three words actually;  Huper meaning above ek meaning an idea of exhaustlessness, and  Perrisos which means exceeding some number or measure, over and above, more than necessary Together Huperekperissou means  superabundantly, surpassingly, beyond measure, exceedingly, quite beyond all measure, overwhelming, over and above, more ...
