DESTINY TEST

DESTINY TEST
Yesterday, we talked about destiny tracks, sure you were blessed and inspired and if you miss yesterday's post, just take a swipe back and you're there on the page. Today, our discussion is still on fulfilling our destiny, bringing to reality all that we dreamt of becoming. But this time it's DESTINY TEST. Jacob had twelve sons but only one of them discovered God's plan for his life as a youth. Saying "for every 12 persons, only one will discover God's plan as a youth" may be statistically incorrect as the population from which this inference is drawn is not universal. However, a look at many of the youths today may reveal a more shocking result. The inability to see what God has in his plan for some youths has made them to pursue plans and purposes that are far from the intentions of God.  On the other hand, some youths have received a God-given vision. God has given them a picture of their future. Some have even spoken about it to people like joseph did to his brothers. Unfortunately most of these great vision never came to pass because the youths did not pass a critical test in the scheme of God. They failed the "word" test.
The bible, referring to joseph, says
Until what he had said came to pass, the word of the Lord tested him. (Psalms 105v 19ESV).
Until the word of God certified him, what he said (his dream) did not come to pass. Until the word of God declared him fit, his future remained a dream. The method of God has not changed. Youths like David, Isaac, Daniel, Timothy etc. all had to go through the word test before their future came to being. Until you pass the "word" test, you can't fulfil destiny no matter how glorious it is.
So what does it mean to be tried. It means to be worked upon. It means to be separated, refined and purified. So a man that is being tried by the word of God is being worked upon by the word. Such a man is being purified and refined by the word of God (2Timothy 3 vs16). A man that is being tried by the word is being prepared and examined to ascertain the fitness of such a man for destiny. God wouldn't allow you enter your destiny until he is sure you are fit. He wouldn't commit Himself, His work nor your future into your hands until you are totally aligned with the word of God.
Every word of God you don't align yourself with reduces your mark in the test of destiny. How shall a young man cleanse his ways? How shall he remove impediment from his path to destiny. How will he arrive at the plan of God for him?. It is by taking heed to the word of God. As you subject yourself to the word of God, it will purify, separate and position you for the fulfilment of your dreams. As you follow the word, your word (your dreams, plans, purpose, and pursuit) will materialise. You shall succeed.
See you at the top fulfilling destiny and becoming Great.

God's Got You

I was on a trip recently and we drove into a difficult terrain. The driver did well by maneuvering the terrain well and got us safely out of it. However, during this drifting, I doubted his professionalism to get us out safely, in fact I panicked, I gave my opinions and advise based on my experience of driving. Unfortunately, my driver will do the opposite, stating reasons why my counsel will not work and truthfully, his judgement always proves to be right and at the end he drove us safely to our destination. This experience got me to think of how many times we have given God our thoughts and advice on what he should do or should have done. We tell him the direction we feel is right for us to go and at times drag the steering with Him. God is to be trusted. The moment you make him the driver of your life, you can trust him to take you safely to a glorious destination. The terrain may be difficult, He might drive you through surprising and difficult places, just hold on and trust him. H...

Nigeria At 55: Look Back...Look Forward.

Yesterday, we celebrated our 55th independence anniversary and while pondering on what to write to commemorate our 55th independence day celebration, I discovered there are a lot of perspectives I could write from. So many topics and issues quickly raced through my mind, like, '55 Years After; How far so far?' 'Independence or Dependence, Where are we going? Etc. But in the midst of it all something exceptional dropped on my mind; which is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving? Yes. Thanksgiving. Many would be quick to analyse, condemn, discuss and compare the state of the nation being 55 years after we got independence, well, that's not bad. But isn't it good for a man at 55 to thank God for the years past spent? Ask any 55 years old man and he will tell you it has been rough and tough, appointments and disappointments, joys and sorrows, ups and downs, successes and failures, but yet he will be grateful for the privilege of being alive to see 55. How does Nigeria fit in...
